Our take
PopularFX is the companion theme for the Pagelayer page builder, and it makes the most sense if you already use or plan to use Pagelayer. The template library is large and the theme is light. It was last updated in 2025, so if you don't need Pagelayer, a more actively maintained theme is the safer choice.
Good
- Hundreds of templates through Pagelayer
- Light theme code
Watch out
- Tied to the Pagelayer page builder
- Less frequent updates than most themes
Works well with
- Pagelayer
- Block editor
About this theme
PopularFX is a lightweight theme from the makers of the Pagelayer page builder. Together they give you access to hundreds of pre-made templates for business sites, portfolios and landing pages, which you then edit visually in Pagelayer.
Who it suits
It suits people who build with Pagelayer and want a theme designed to match it. If you use the block editor or another page builder, a theme built around that tool will usually serve you better.
