Complianz
Our take
Complianz is one of the most complete free cookie plugins: it scans your site, blocks third-party scripts such as YouTube or Google Maps until visitors agree, and generates a cookie policy. The setup wizard asks questions in plain language. Records of consent and extra legal documents are in the paid version.
Good
- Automatic cookie and service scan
- Blocks third-party scripts and embeds until consent
- Supports Google Consent Mode
- No page view limits
Watch out
- Setup wizard is long the first time
- Some documents and features are premium
Complianz takes care of the technical side of cookie consent. It finds the cookies and services your site uses, shows a banner that matches your visitor’s region, and makes sure tracking scripts and embeds stay blocked until the visitor agrees.
How setup works
A wizard asks about your site, your location and the services you use, then scans your pages. Based on the answers it configures the banner, blocks the right scripts and writes a cookie policy you can publish as a page. Integrations with popular plugins and services are detected automatically.
